NetZero…. The Existential Treat!
Its true! ……. we do have an existential threat in our near future!
Its true we do have an existential threat in our near future, and it will be far worse than anything our climate and weather can expose us too. It’s our own misguided virtue signaling policies to combat the unsupported notion of a climate emergency that is being driven by “global group think” at its worst.
Some would say the biggest threat to western nations is too much political movement to the right or to the left, or Donald Trump’s anti-globalization tariffs, or the rise of other non-democracies such as China and North Korea, or the Russians, or the increase in Islam in our western societies, or a yet unknown virus, or rampant AI, or an over-indulgence in woke thinking, or the reduction of prosperity and its impact on the youth in our society.
Now these and probably many more are all valid points to review and manage, but the biggest risk to our western nations fielding a successful policy set to mange all of these points is how we manage the climate change emergency hysteria.
Climate Emergency Hysteria
This climate emergency hysteria has gripped our social discourse and made our political leaders embed the climate issue into our economic and social policies and made them agree to international climate goals that place unrealistic expectations and prosperity killing legislation on western nations.
This climate emergency action to “save the planet” is mostly a western national disease as the “rest” are avoiding the debacle by cleverly delaying or exempting themselves.
Of course, the media love a panic as its sells the news and have taken every opportunity to develop and amplify the climate emergency narrative at every turn.
The range of narrative about the climate change is a wide range from “we are doomed” to we can fix it, but it may hurt, to its actually good news.
But some are “calling out” the hysteria.
Why there is no 'climate crisis'
The Corrupted Science
Getting to the scientific truth is a crapshoot as it’s clear that climate science has been politically subjugated and forced into a “consensus” that is a corruption of the scientific process.
These traditional scientific and technical institutions are clearly in the pay of the climate emergency industrial complex that keeps the scientific snouts firmly in the funding bucket with any dissension in the ranks being career limiting.
This ensures open resistance to open dialogue to pursue the truth either because the individuals have full acceptance of the consensus, or through fear of the consequences of acting against such consensus.
Those that want to believe the narrative that a climate emergency exists keep wanting to only review and accept data and conclusions from so called peer reviewed reports that follow the consensus that only supports the narrative that they want to hear.
Then we have the “canceling” and “shaming” of anyone that does not conform to the consensus and disagrees with the climate emergency narrative, even if the scientific data they use is solid.
Also, any technical reports or conclusions from anyone deemed to have a “special interest against the narrative” is tagged with propagating disinformation and misinformation even when the data is from solid sources.
No more Scientific Consensus.
After a review of the historical and current data from many sources it’s becoming clear to many in the scientific community that the UN IPCC is in trouble with the truth, as its clear after review that the scientific reports in the IPCC documents do not support the wild statements made about a climate emergency from the IPCC and UN senior leadership.
A growing number of experts have separated from the so-called consensus and have formed into powerful scientific coalitions that are declaring that we do NOT have a climate emergency on this planet.
It’s now clear that when the scientific facts are presented and not distorted by the climate emergency narrative no strong justification exists for any climate mitigation action as the climate impact data shows no negative or significant trends when not confused with long term weather variability.
For example...
Fires are not related to climate change but weather trends and poor forest management.
Sea level rise is 1 foot per century and well inside our adaptive capability.
Tornados are decreasing over the long term.
Floods and droughts show no trend and are slightly less, but improvements are needed in building codes.
Some experts are even declaring that the slight increase in global temperature and the increase in CO2 appears to be mostly natural and mainly beneficial with CO2 greening the planet and improving the global food supply.
The Scientific Outlook…
The climate predictions using climate model’s configured to prove CO2 is the main driver of climate change keep getting proved wrong, and this “predictive environment” is still full of players that are able to rig the data to suit their specific narrative to continue to project that CO2 through human emissions is the main driver of climate change, and this keeps the climate emergency wheels turning.
But a growing number of scientists are asking questions and presenting theories and solid facts that question…….
Is it CO2? …. and will it become benign with saturation with increasing concentration?
Did we do it? ….or….Is it the sun and the movement of the solar system?
Is the recent climate change unprecedented or has it happened before in the recent history of civilization?
Should we try to mitigate CO2?... or can we just adapt?
What is clear is that the science is far from settled and its still not resolved as to which hypothesis is correct and what is the actual climate drivers.
Some experts are suggesting that independent of the climate drivers, NetZero will be far worse for humankind than any climate impact, and that CO2 mitigation is not needed, and all that is needed is some focused local adaptation into the future!
The Politics
Some irresponsible western politicians still state that “the climate emergency science is settled” and they keep trying to convince their citizens that there is “expert consensus” and they continue to set policies to undertake NetZero when it is now clear to many that NetZero is unnecessary, technologically unattainable, economically unviable and extremely foolish.
The NetZero solutions will always be a prosperity killer and will never be in any way a nation builder.
The light at the end of the tunnel is the new US presidency, as Trump quite rightly has deemed anything that stands in the way of highly affordable and abundant energy being a huge economic mistake.
Many new governments are aligning their position with Trump as they see less climate emergency and much more strife for their citizens due to massive prosperity loss with the implementation of NetZero.
Unfortunately, some western governments such as the UK and the EU are still stuck on the climate emergency religion and are paying the price with high energy costs and declining prosperity.
Facing the Threat
It’s time for all of our western nations and its citizens to become much more informed and aware of the threat of the climate emergency religious nonsense and have their governments organize a review of the situation with eyes wide open and ensure all viewpoints are considered.
Our governments must ensure that sane policies are followed without the virtue signaling and dangerous groupthink to ensure we have prosperous western nations on this planet.
