The Key to the demise of West.…….
Turning the key in the lock of the climate narrative and opening the door to prosperity is a good catalyst for positive change and the best way to start the recovery process in the western nations…
It’s clear that the mature western nations are in deep trouble both economically and culturally and unless action is taken will eventually be a shadow of their former selves.
From their citizens perspective the western nations are losing ground with degradation of living standards and growing discomfort with their national security, social values, and harmony.
Many western citizens are in despair with the ineptitude of the political leadership and their democratic political systems that are trending toward dysfunctionality, with even the obvious and highly necessary policies being badly planned and executed.
There are far too many distractions due to minority interests and political diversions.
Many believe the political agendas currently being followed are far from serving the majority of the citizens needs or wishes.
Although the media tends to continue to confuse the issues, they do eventually define the problems, but few solutions get undertaken.
So, its clear to most of the citizen population that things are not going well, and the main issues that are not being satisfactorily addressed are as follows….
Lack of national spirit…. This has been under-supported with the dangerous promotion of the notion by some politicos of the nations becoming “post nation states” and further division has been created by “identity politics” All this has been amplified by teaching our children “anti-nationalism” and anti-colonialism thinking.
Our youth are being indoctrinated with the confused ideology of woke and DEI that has pushed group identity which has been a damper on the past western concepts of equality and meritocracy that was the bedrock of our past cultural success in the western world.
A reset on all this to return to our past social values is badly needed.
De-industrialization via poor global trade management…. In less than one lifetime we have experienced the destruction of the industrial sectors in our western societies. and the significant loss of national prosperity,
The globalized manufacturing approach with efficient supply chains supported by liberalized free trade agreements has been the business norm in the last four decades and has been the prime reason for the “hollowing out” of our Western industrial base.
But now many experts predict global and national economic conditions that will, for many reasons, provide an opportunity for our western economies to generate the correct political will to redevelop into more localized trade blocs, and reshore their industrial base…. But where is the political will?
Under investment in national infrastructure and productivity….. Poor national investment strategies have focused on nonproductive service infrastructure and have allowed the real estate markets to become bloated and over valued.
New policies need to encourage future investments in value adding commercial and industrial projects that will improve the productivity and prosperity of the national economy by leveraging citizen skills and national resources.
Ongoing growth and yet declining performance of the public sectors…. The deindustrialization effect and the associated trade imbalance has reduced the value adding jobs in the economy. It has moved vast amounts of the population into both service and government paid jobs that has reduced the overall productivity and wealth within the western nations. The challenge will be how to get this reversed.
Under managed Immigration…. This has allowed significant amounts of low skilled labor into the western economies and has stressed the national infrastructures of housing, heath services and education with a net disadvantage to both productivity and living standards for the existing citizens.
It has also upset the delicate balance of national identity and overextended the ability for cultural assimilation and integration to take place. It’s fair to say that the grand experiment of multiculturalism has failed badly.
Excessive low-cost labor has also allowed the business sectors to under-invest in labor cost avoidance that has further reduced the productivity and competitive level of the national business environments.
A reset is badly needed and will require a strong nationalistic approach by governments.
Poor learning systems not geared to the economy… we are fast developing a workforce that is over-educated and under-trained on vocations and skills that will not benefit the economy, and with inadequate “on the job” experience to support a modern and productive national economy.
Our whole educational system from the entry level to further education needs a total shake-down to return to the goal of providing the correct value adding education and training for our future workforce, and not wasting effort on indoctrinating them with over socialist ideology fast being recognised as alien to our success as a modern productive society.
Foolish Climate change and environmental policies…. The demise of the western world has been happening for the many reasons as mentioned, but it has centered around an over fixation with a climate change emergency that has become one of the new religions of the dangerous cult-like socialism that is destroying the western societies from within.
Let’s summarize the Climate Science situation…..
The past narrative was that climate change was an emergency that required massive mitigation action using strict adherence to NetZero solutions requiring the suppression of existing energy systems and even current lifestyles.
But a new reality about the climate is emerging that agrees that the climate is changing, but that it’s NOT an emergency, and maybe it’s not so much about us, and that NetZero is unnecessary, technologically unattainable, economically unviable, and extremely foolish in terms of its impact on prosperity in both mature and emerging nations.
Its now looking based on climate impact outcomes that all that will be needed is some focused adaption.
The western world needs to come to terms with this new reality and stop the self damaging NetZero narrative and get back to being concerned about its national citizens and their prosperity.
They need to realize that affordable energy that supports value adding industrialization that allows the local population to mine grow and make what they consume is the only journey to prosperity.
This does not mean that energy systems and environmental improvements cannot be jointly undertaken but never at the expense of citizen prosperity.
The Fix….
Turning the key in the lock of the climate emergency narrative and opening the door to prosperity is a good start-up catalyst for positive change and the best way to begin the recovery process in the western nations…
But, it will also require respecting national citizenship far more by making the democratic process work for the majority and avoid the distraction of minority interests and ensure national trade culture and immigration are in far better control so that it always benefits the nations citizens and not pander to some misplaced world view.
This will require strong proactive political leadership that will make the correct but sometimes tough decisions, and this style of leader is clearly in very short supply in most western nations.
It will also require much more effective democratic processes that have been sadly lacking in most western nations.
Also, a strong spirit of nationalism is essential for this leadership and democratic process to work and this is another area that needs to recover from the over liberalism of the western societies and its institutions, some of which will need significant reconstruction rather than just mild repair.
So far, the US under new leadership has most of the correct policies underway but learn to must follow a far more stable and less erratic implementation process.
The Canadian, Australian, UK and certainly the EU politics remain highly confused as to how to install the correct leadership and adopt the policies needed for those nations to flourish. And it’s clear that most of these nations have not even come to terms with the list of issues mentioned above… let alone the correct fixes.

Climate Change… The Truth?
The United Nations (UN) managed Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) was supposed to be the official go-to authority that governments were supposed to follow in understanding the climate science and setting related policies to manage climate change and any impact.

Nigel, i agree! As a former Brit i am dismayed that there’s so few willing to grapple with the neo-cultural Marxism that has gripped the UK (and Oz , NZ, Canada, EU etc). Your list has communist tendencies as a separate paragraph is too kind, all the issues afflicting these nations start there. Climate change, the covid response, immigration etc all start with this affliction. Reform or AdvanceUK must get mainstream attention and be allowed to counter this disease.
I am not hopeful. Free speech in UK and Canada has been eliminated. Onlt government approved speech is allowed. I am not optimistic.
As you say, the people are being deliberately confused by their msm et al and are not able to react appropriately.
